The launch of the Technion Society of Australia (NSW) new website is the latest initiative in the rejuvenation of the Society as it celebrates its 50th Anniversary and looks to a new era.
The first initiative in this process was the appointment of the first Australian based (part-time) Executive Director, Ken Lander.
Under the leadership of President, Dr Ruth Ratner it was decided to re-structure the Board and attract new faces. Communal identities Peter Hersh (Hon Treasurer) and Michael Graf (Hon Secretary) have joined Professor Graham de Vahl Davis (Vice President) to complete the executive office holders. Karel Ruber, a Technion alumnus, has joined the Board with responsibility for co-ordinating the new Australian Technion Alumni Group.
Together they comprise the TSA (NSW) leadership team which has resulted in bi-monthly events, regular newsletters, a new website, new university exchange agreements, student exchanges between the Technion and Sydney universities, the commencement of fundraising activities and a Corporate Partners Program, and a 50th Anniversary Celebration Supper.
The TSA is keen to hear from anyone who would like to be a part of supporting the Technion.
