Professor Shimon Haber is Technion Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Visiting Professor at the UNSW.
An aeronautical engineer by training, he is a world leading researcher who crosses boundaries from mechanical engineering to biology. Following a distinguished career in the Israel Air Force for which he received the Israel Air Force Prize, he has conducted research across a wide range of areas from fluid dynamics to machine design to biological flows. Professor Haber is a world expert in the fluid dynamics of the human lungs. He has been Visiting Scientist/Professor at Harvard University, MIT and University of California Santa Barbara and held a range of senior positions including Dean of Students at the Technion.
Professor Haber is a 2010 TSA Theeman Scholar collaborating at the University of NSW.
